It is almost time for Minecraft to celebrate its tenth birthday, and in order to commemorate this momentous occasion, the very first edition of the game is now accessible to play for free in your web browser. In a statement that was made last night, Mojang said that it would now be possible to play the original 2009 build without having to pay any compensation.
Minecraft Classic, which the developer has referred to as the “lovingly nostalgic” edition (and which you can play here), comes with a set of functionality that is pretty limited in scope. Mojang has brought back the original version of the game, complete with all of its flaws.
Taking this into consideration, you will only have access to 32 blocks to construct with all of the game’s original faults and parts of the dubious early user interface. According to Tom Stone, who works as a creative communications assistant, if you have been dissatisfied with every single update that Mojang has ever made, then this is the version of the game that you should be playing.

Being someone who has made it this far in their career as a PC gamer without ever having traditionally played Minecraft, the browser version of the game comes as a pleasant surprise to me. Despite the fact that I had no clue what I was doing, I was able to play in a matter of seconds, and the whole experience was very straightforward.
Of course, Minecraft Classic does not have any of the features that Mojang has introduced over the years; nonetheless, if all you want out of Minecraft is a tranquil environment with which to construct things, then this is definitely the best option for you.
When it comes to commemorating the tenth anniversary of the game, Mojang has a great deal more in store for us, so be sure to keep an eye out for it over the following few days. There will be a celebration, of course, but Marcus ‘Notch’ Persson, the original designer of the game, has not been invited because of the statements he made on the internet.
Also, a movie adaptation of Minecraft is now in the works, but by the time it really makes its debut in theaters, the game will have been around for quite a few years; the release date for the film is currently scheduled for the year 2022. That will give me enough time to catch up with the updates that have been made during the last ten years.
